Demos re-release (2002-06)
Today we bring great news that the re-release of the Archaicus demos (a predecessor of Lychgate) has come to fruition on Cult Never Dies. It can be previewed here.
Orders can be placed on the Cult Never Dies webstore.
This project was active between 2002 and 2006. Lychgate's self-titled first album was inspired by the sounds of the first Archaicus demo, which make up the first three tracks of the re-release. Finally, Cult Never Dies have now released these early recordings for a wider audience, with a half hour of rarely heard and unreleased material that demonstrate a unique blend of atmospheric black metal and early thrash metal overtones. Comparisons to the Nordic black metal scene are also evident and this will appeal not just to fans of early Lychgate but also Satyricon's Dark Medieval Times and even Mayhem's De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas.
The material has been remastered, and in some cases remixed, for this release and the sleeve has extensive liner notes.
Limited to 150 hand numbered copies.
